Method

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Add Ingredients

Once boiling, add the halved lemon and Old Bay seasoning to the water.

  3. 3

    Cook Shrimp

Add the large shrimp to the boiling water and cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque.

  4. 4

    Chill Shrimp

Remove the shrimp from the boiling water and place them in a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them chill for about 5 minutes.

  5. 5

    Drain Shrimp

Once chilled, drain the shrimp and pat dry with paper towels.

Cocktail Sauce Preparation

  1. 6

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of horseradish, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce.

  2. 7

    Adjust Flavor

Mix well and add Tabasco sauce to taste, adjusting the spiciness as desired.

Serving

  1. 8

    Plate Shrimp

Arrange the chilled shrimp on a serving platter.

  2. 9

    Serve with Sauce

Serve the shrimp with the cocktail sauce on the side for dipping.
