Ingredients for Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich

Method

Directions for Preparing Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork

In a bowl, mix together smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Rub this spice mixture all over the pork shoulder.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pork

Heat olive oil in a smoker or grill to medium-high heat. Sear the pork shoulder on all sides until browned. Then, place the pork in the smoker or grill, add water, and cover. Smoke for 4-6 hours at 225°F (107°C) or until the internal temperature reaches 190°F (88°C).

  3. 3

    Shred the Pork

Once cooked, remove the pork from the smoker and let it rest for at least 30 minutes. Use two forks to shred the pork into bite-sized pieces.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Sandwich

On the bottom half of each hamburger bun, place a generous portion of the pulled pork. Drizzle BBQ sauce over the pork, then top with the other half of the bun.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the pulled pork sandwiches warm with additional BBQ sauce on the side, if desired.
