Bourbon Bacon Burger

Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Burger Patties

In a bowl, mix the ground beef with bourbon, salt, and black pepper. Divide into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.

  3. 3

    Cook the Burger Patties

In the same skillet used for bacon, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

  5. 5

    Toast the Buns

While the burgers are cooking, toast the burger buns in a separate skillet or on a grill until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burger

Layer the bottom half of the bun with lettuce, the burger patty with melted cheese, crispy bacon, tomato slices, onion slices, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the burgers hot with a side of fries.
