Method

Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the steaks with olive oil, then season both sides generously with garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and fresh rosemary.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to high heat. Grill the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired doneness. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Fries

  1. 4

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to make fries.

  2. 5

    Soak the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch, which helps them become crispier when fried.

  3. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Drain the soaked potatoes and pat them dry. Carefully add them to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. While still hot, sprinkle with salt.
