Ingredients for Maki Platters Classic

Method

Directions for Maki Platters Classic

  1. 1

    Prepare Sushi Rice

Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook the rice according to package instructions. Once cooked, let it cool and season with rice vinegar, sugar, and salt.

  2. 2

    Cabo Roll Assembly

Place a nori sheet on a bamboo mat. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving a 1-inch border at the top. Add crab meat, avocado slices, and cucumber strips. Roll tightly and seal the edge with a little water. Slice into pieces.

  3. 3

    Cali Roll Assembly

On another nori sheet, spread sushi rice, add avocado and cucumber, and sprinkle sesame seeds. Roll and slice.

  4. 4

    Crunchy Blue Assembly

On a nori sheet, layer sushi rice, tempura flakes, and avocado. Roll tightly, slice, and top with spicy mayo.

  5. 5

    Crunchy L.A. Assembly

Layer sushi rice, tempura flakes, and crab meat or shrimp on a nori sheet. Roll tightly and slice.

  6. 6

    Sake Roll Assembly

On a nori sheet, add sushi rice and raw salmon. Roll tightly, slice, and serve with soy sauce.

  7. 7

    Spicy Tekka Roll Assembly

Spread sushi rice on nori, add tuna, and a drizzle of spicy mayo. Roll tightly and slice.

  8. 8

    Rainbow Roll Assembly

On a nori sheet, layer sushi rice, avocado, and assorted sashimi (salmon, tuna, yellowtail). Roll tightly and slice.

  9. 9

    Serve

Arrange all the rolls on a platter. Serve with soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger.
