Hot Poppers Ingredients

Method

Hot Poppers Directions

1

Prepare the Jalapeños

Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds. This will reduce the heat level.

2

Prepare the Filling

In a bowl, mix the cream cheese with chopped smoked salmon until well combined.

3

Stuff the Jalapeños

Spoon the cream cheese and smoked salmon mixture into each jalapeño half.

4

Wrap in Soy Paper

Take a sheet of soy paper and wrap it around each stuffed jalapeño, securing the filling inside.

5

Prepare the Tempura Batter

Follow the instructions on the tempura batter mix to prepare the batter. Dip each wrapped jalapeño into the tempura batter.

6

Fry the Poppers

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan. Once hot, carefully drop the battered jalapeños into the oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.

7

Serve

Remove the poppers from the oil and drain on paper towels. Drizzle with sriracha sauce and serve hot.
