Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the top and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Make Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until the dough comes together.

  3. 3

    Knead Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.

Pizza Assembly

  1. 5

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

  2. 6

    Shape Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired pizza shape and thickness.

  3. 7

    Add Sauce and Toppings

Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet. Brush with olive oil, spread the tomato sauce evenly, and then layer the toppings: feta cheese, mozzarella cheese, olives, red onion, bell pepper, and spinach. Sprinkle dried oregano, salt, and pepper on top.

  4. 8

    Bake Pizza

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.

  5. 9

    Cool and Serve

Remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve.
