Preparation

1

Prepare the Ginger

Grate or thinly slice the fresh ginger root. You'll need about 1 cup of grated ginger.

2

Juice the Lemons

Cut the lemons in half and use a juicer to extract the juice. Set the juice aside.

Cooking

3

Boil Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

4

Add Ginger

Once the water is boiling, add the grated ginger root to the saucepan. Allow it to boil for about 10 minutes.

5

Strain the Ginger

After boiling, remove the saucepan from heat and strain the ginger tea into a pitcher, discarding the ginger pieces.

6

Mix in Lemon Juice and Honey

Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of honey to the ginger tea. Stir well until the honey dissolves.

Serving

7

Serve Warm or Cold

You can serve the ginger lemon drink warm or chilled. To serve cold, add ice cubes and mint leaves before pouring into glasses.
