Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Form the Burger Patty

In a bowl, gently shape the ground beef into a patty, ensuring it is slightly larger than the bun to account for shrinkage during cooking.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patty

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patty for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until it reaches your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Melt the Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place the Swiss-American cheese slice on top of the patty to melt.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Bun

While the burger is cooking, toast the burger bun lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Spread mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup on the bottom half of the toasted bun. Layer on the lettuce, followed by the cooked burger patty with melted cheese. Top with tomato slice, onion rings, pickle slices, and the top half of the bun.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
