Dough Ingredients

Method

Roll Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until bubbly.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour and salt.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.

  4. 4

    Knead the Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  5. 5

    First Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  6. 6

    Shape Rolls

After the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place in a greased baking dish.

  7. 7

    Second Rise

Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes until they are puffy.

  8. 8

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  9. 9

    Bake Rolls

Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

  10. 10

    Brush with Butter

Remove from the oven and brush the tops with Vermont Creamery cultured butter and sprinkle with sea salt.
