Method

Brownie Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat and Prepare

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

  2. 2

    Melt Butter and Combine Sugars

In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.

  3. 3

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. 4

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

  5. 5

Combine and Fold In Chocolate Chips

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter and sugar mixture, stirring until just combined. If desired, fold in the chocolate chips.

  6. 6

    Bake the Brownies

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  7. 7

    Cool and Serve

Let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before lifting them out. Cut into squares and enjoy!
