Method

Pickled Vegetables

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pickling Brine

In a saucepan, combine white vinegar, water, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat until sugar and salt dissolve.

  2. 2

    Pickle the Vegetables

Place cucumber, carrots, and red onion in a jar. Pour the hot brine over the vegetables, ensuring they are fully submerged. Add dill. Let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.

Housemade Crackers

  1. 3

    Make the Dough

In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and herbs. Add olive oil and water, and mix until a dough forms. Knead gently for a few minutes.

  2. 4

    Roll and Bake

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Plate

On a large platter, arrange the pickled vegetables, marcona almonds, olives, and housemade crackers. Serve and enjoy!
