Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Bread
Spread butter evenly on both sides of each slice of white bread. Cut the bread into triangles.

Arrange the Bread
Layer half of the buttered bread slices in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle half of the raisins over the bread.

Add Second Layer
Add the remaining buttered bread slices on top, followed by the rest of the raisins.

Combine Custard Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and brandy until well combined.

Pour Custard Over Bread
Pour the custard mixture evenly over the layered bread in the baking dish, ensuring all the bread is soaked.

Let It Soak
Allow the bread to soak in the custard for about 10 minutes.

Bake the Pudding
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
