Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Romaine Lettuce

Wash the Romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water. Remove any tough outer leaves and chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Set aside in a large salad bowl.

  2. 2

    Cook the Chicken

Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before slicing into strips.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

Sprinkle 0.5 cups of grated Parmesan cheese over the chopped Romaine lettuce.

Crouton Preparation

  1. 4

    Make the Croutons

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the bread into small cubes (about 1 inch). In a bowl, combine the bread cubes, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, garlic powder, and salt. Toss to coat evenly. Spread the croutons on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until golden and crispy. Remove from the oven and let cool.

Dressing Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Dressing

In a mixing bowl, combine 0.5 cups of mayonnaise, 0.25 cups of grated Parmesan cheese, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, 0.25 tsp of salt, and 0.25 tsp of black pepper. Whisk together until smooth and well combined.

Combine and Serve

  1. 6

    Assemble the Salad

Add the sliced chicken strips to the bowl with Romaine lettuce and Parmesan cheese. Drizzle the homemade Caesar dressing over the top and toss gently to combine. Finally, add the homemade croutons on top.

  2. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately while the croutons are still crispy. Enjoy your Tossed Chicken Caesar Salad!
