Filling Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Peaches

In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches with 1 cup of granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, lemon juice, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Toss until the peaches are evenly coated.

  2. 2

    Transfer to Baking Dish

Pour the peach mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

Topping Preparation

  1. 3

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder, and 1 teaspoon of salt until well combined.

  2. 4

    Add Wet Ingredients

Stir in 1 cup of milk and the melted butter until just combined. Do not overmix.

  3. 5

    Pour Over Peaches

Carefully pour the batter over the peach filling in the baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Baking

  1. 6

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 7

    Bake the Cobbler

Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  3. 8

    Cool and Serve

Allow the cobbler to cool for at least 10 minutes before serving warm. Enjoy with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
