Method

Preparation of Rice

  1. 1

    Cook the Rice

In a medium saucepan, add 1 cup of rice and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 18-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork before serving.

Preparation of Salmon

  1. 2

    Season the Salmon

In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of dried dill, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Rub this mixture evenly over the salmon fillet.

  2. 3

    Grill the Salmon

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillet skin-side down on the grill. Cook for about 6-8 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the fillet, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

Serving

  1. 4

    Plate the Dish

Once the salmon is cooked, place a generous portion of the rice on a plate and top it with the grilled salmon. Garnish with fresh dill and lemon wedges if desired.
