Preparation of Fresh Vegetables

    Carrots

    Peel and slice the carrots into even-sized rounds. Steam or boil in salted water for 5-7 minutes until tender but still slightly crisp. Drain and set aside.

    Broccoli Florets

    Trim the broccoli into small florets. Steam for 4-5 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Remove from heat and set aside.

    Cauliflower Florets

    Cut the cauliflower into florets and steam for 4-5 minutes until tender yet firm. Remove from heat and set aside.

    Green Beans

    Trim the ends of the green beans and steam or boil for 5 minutes until bright green and tender. Drain and set aside.

    Bell Peppers

    Remove the stems and seeds from the bell peppers and slice them into strips or bite-sized pieces. Sauté in a skillet with a little olive oil for 3-4 minutes until slightly softened. Remove from heat.

    Prepare your favorite homemade soup by sautéing garlic and onions, adding seasonal vegetables, broth, and spices. Simmer until vegetables are tender and serve hot.
