Chicken Marinade

Method

Marinating the Chicken

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the chicken breast fillets into tenders, about 1 inch wide.

  2. 2

    Marinate

In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Add the chicken tenders to the marinade, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.

Breading the Chicken

  1. 3

    Prepare the Breading Mixture

In a shallow dish, mix together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 4

    Bread the Chicken

Remove the chicken tenders from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the breading mixture, ensuring it's evenly coated. Shake off any excess flour and set aside on a plate.

Frying the Chicken

  1. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 6

    Fry the Chicken Tenders

Carefully add the breaded chicken tenders to the hot oil, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

  3. 7

    Drain and Serve

Once cooked, remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
