Method

Preparation of Ahi Tuna

  1. 1

    Dice the Tuna

Using a sharp knife, dice the Ahi tuna into small cubes, approximately 1/2 inch in size.

  2. 2

    Mix with Sauce

In a bowl, combine the diced Ahi tuna with Thai chili sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss gently to combine. Let the mixture marinate for about 10 minutes.

Preparation of Vegetables

  1. 3

    Dice the Avocado

Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh out of the skin. Dice the avocado into small pieces and set aside gently to avoid browning.

  2. 4

    Slice the Green Onions

Chop the green onion stalks into thin slices, using both the white and green parts.

  3. 5

    Prepare the Cucumber

Peel the cucumber if desired, then slice it lengthwise and remove the seeds. Dice the cucumber into small pieces.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Layer the Ingredients

In a serving bowl or plate, layer the marinated Ahi tuna at the bottom, followed by the diced avocado, and then add the diced cucumber and green onions on top.

  2. 7

    Garnish

Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top and cut the nori sheet into small strips or squares to garnish the dish.
