Main Ingredient

Method

Preparing the Herb Butter

  1. 1

    Make the Herb Butter

In a small bowl, combine the unsalted butter, chopped parsley, chopped thyme, minced garlic, sea salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.

Grilling the Sirloin

  1. 2

    Prepare the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, ensuring it's set up for direct grilling. If using hardwood, allow the wood to burn down until you have hot coals.

  2. 3

    Season the Sirloin

Pat the sirloin steak dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

  3. 4

    Grill the Sirloin

Place the sirloin steak on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time based on your preferred doneness.

  4. 5

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked to your liking, remove the sirloin from the grill and let it rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  5. 6

    Add Herb Butter

Top the grilled sirloin with a generous dollop of the prepared herb butter while the steak is resting. Let it melt over the steak.
