Filet Mignon Filling
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Filet Mignon Filling
Finely chop the filet mignon into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.
- 2
Add Flavorings
To the bowl, add grated ginger, minced garlic, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
Assemble Wontons
- 3
Fill the Wontons
Place a wonton wrapper on a clean, dry surface. Add about 1 tablespoon of the filet mignon mixture in the center of the wrapper.
- 4
Seal the Wontons
Moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with water. Fold the wrapper over to create a triangle shape and press the edges well to seal. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
Frying
- 5
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 6
Fry the Wontons
Carefully add the sealed wontons to the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry for about 3-4 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove them with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Serving
- 7
Serve Hot
Serve the crispy wontons stuffed with filet mignon hot, garnished with additional chopped green onions if desired, and enjoy!
