Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
Method
Preparing the Brownie Batter
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- 2
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- 3
Mix Sugars & Eggs
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Stir until well combined. Add in the eggs one by one, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Then, mix in the vanilla extract.
- 4
Combine Dry Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, and salt until well combined.
- 5
Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Avoid overmixing. Gently fold in the dark chocolate chips.
- 6
Bake the Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 7
Cool the Brownies
Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serving
- 8
Serve Warm
Cut the brownies into squares and serve warm topped with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.
