Meatloaf

Method

Meatloaf Preparation

  1. 1

    Caramelize Onions

In a skillet over medium heat, add diced onion and cook until golden brown and caramelized, about 10-15 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent burning. Remove from heat and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook Bacon

In the same skillet, add diced bacon and cook until crispy. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Combine Meat Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the certified Angus beef, short rib, brisket, and chuck. Add the cooked bacon, caramelized onions, bread crumbs, egg, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until well combined.

  4. 4

    Form Loaves

Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions. Shape each portion into an individual loaf. Make a small indentation in the center of each loaf and fill with shredded cheddar cheese.

  5. 5

    Bake Meatloaf

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the loaves on a lined baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

Sides Preparation

  1. 6

    Steam Broccoli

In a pot with a steamer basket, add broccoli florets and steam for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still bright green. Remove from heat.

  2. 7

    Cook Macaroni

In a large pot of salted boiling water, add macaroni pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and return to pot.

  3. 8

    Make Macaroni Cheese

Add butter and milk to the pot with macaroni and stir over low heat until the butter is melted. Gradually mix in the shredded cheddar cheese until creamy and smooth. Season with salt to taste.
