Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Lettuce

Carefully remove the outer leaves of the baby iceberg lettuce. Cut the head into quarters to create wedges and rinse under cold water. Pat dry with a paper towel and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a frying pan over medium heat, cook the thick cut bacon slices until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Once done, remove from the pan and drain on paper towels. Once cooled, chop into bite-sized pieces.

  3. 3

    Chop the Vegetables

Dice the large tomato and cucumber into bite-sized pieces. Thinly slice the small onion.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble the Salad

On a large platter or individual plates, place the iceberg wedges. Top with the diced tomato, cucumber, and onion. Sprinkle the chopped bacon evenly over the wedges.

  2. 5

    Add Cheese and Dressing

Sprinkle the crumbled blue cheese over the salad. Drizzle with blue cheese dressing to taste.
