Ice Cream Preparation

Mix the Base
In a large mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Whisk together until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Chill the Mixture
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight. This will enhance the flavors.

Churn the Ice Cream
Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

Freeze
Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.

Make the Syrup
In a small saucepan, combine granulated sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar completely dissolves. Remove from heat and let it cool.

In a blender, combine the fruit puree, cooled syrup, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth.

Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
