Mushrooms

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Mushrooms

Gently brush the wild mushrooms with a damp cloth to remove any dirt. Avoid soaking them in water, as they can absorb moisture and become soggy.

  2. 2

    Chop the Shallots

Finely chop the shallots and set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Tarragon

Rinse the fresh tarragon under cold water, shake off excess water, and chop it roughly.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Sauté the Shallots

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the chopped shallots and cook for about 3-4 minutes until they become translucent.

  2. 5

    Add the Garlic

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute, being careful not to burn it.

  3. 6

    Cook the Mushrooms

Add the cleaned wild mushrooms to the skillet. Increase the heat to medium-high and cook for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are browned and tender.

  4. 7

    Season the Mixture

Sprinkle in the salt and freshly ground black pepper. Stir well to combine.

  5. 8

Finish with Tarragon and Lemon Juice

Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the chopped tarragon and lemon juice. Mix well before serving.
