Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a medium bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Whisk together until well blended.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Steak

Place the Bone-In Strip Steaks in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours for maximum flavor.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F to 500°F).

  2. 4

    Remove Steak from Marinade

Take the marinated steaks out of the refrigerator and remove them from the marinade. Discard the marinade.

  3. 5

    Grill the Steak

Place the steaks on the grill over direct heat. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on one side until you achieve a nice sear. Flip the steaks and grill for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer a more well-done steak.

  4. 6

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked to your desired doneness, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Serving

  1. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Chop fresh parsley and sprinkle over the steaks before serving. Slice against the grain and enjoy your Kansas City Bone-In Strip!
