Method

Preparing the BBQ Ribs

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat dry with paper towels.

  3. 3

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture all over the ribs.

  4. 4

    Wrap the Ribs

Wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet.

  5. 5

    Bake the Ribs

Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.

  6. 6

    Add BBQ Sauce

Remove the ribs from the oven, unwrap, and brush BBQ sauce generously on both sides.

  7. 7

    Broil the Ribs

Turn on the broiler and place the ribs under it for about 5 minutes until the sauce caramelizes.

Preparing the Chicken Thighs

  1. 8

    Marinate the Chicken

In a bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add chicken thighs and rub the marinade all over. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 9

    Grill the Chicken

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Cook the marinated chicken thighs for about 7-8 minutes on each side, until cooked through.

  3. 10

    Add BBQ Sauce

During the last few minutes of grilling, brush BBQ sauce on both sides of the chicken to glaze.
