Cocktail Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Smoked Glass
Start by using a smoking gun or a stovetop to ignite the cherry wood chips. Once they start to smolder, place a rocks glass upside down over the chips to capture the smoke. Let it sit for about 2-3 minutes to infuse the glass with a smoky flavor.
- 2
Mix the Cocktail
In a mixing glass, combine 2 oz of bourbon, 0.5 oz of simple syrup, and 2 dashes of Angostura bitters. Add ice cubes to the mixing glass and stir gently for about 20 seconds to chill and dilute the mixture.
- 3
Serve the Cocktail
Remove the rocks glass from the smoke and strain the chilled bourbon mixture into the prepared glass. Add fresh ice cubes if desired.
- 4
Garnish
Express the oils of the orange peel over the drink by holding it over the glass and giving it a twist. Drop the peel into the drink as a garnish.
