Method
Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
- 2
Prepare the Ham
Remove the ham from its packaging and place it in a large roasting pan, fat side up. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern about 1/4 inch deep.
- 3
Mix the Glaze
In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cloves, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
Cooking
- 4
Apply the Glaze
Brush the glaze generously over the scored surface of the ham, ensuring that it gets into the cuts.
- 5
Bake the Ham
Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).
- 6
Optional Glaze Baste
If using, mix the pineapple juice and ground cinnamon in a small bowl. During the last 30 minutes of baking, baste the ham with this mixture every 10 minutes for additional flavor.
- 7
Carve and Serve
Once the ham is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for about 20 minutes before carving. Serve warm.
