Ribs

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Start by removing the membrane from the back of the spare ribs. Use a sharp knife to gently lift the membrane and then pull it off with your hands.

  2. 2

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and brown sugar. Rub this spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are well-coated.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). This low and slow cooking method will make the ribs tender.

  2. 4

    Bake the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover the ribs tightly with another piece of foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 2.5 to 3 hours.

  3. 5

    Add Barbecue Sauce

After the ribs have baked, remove them from the oven and discard the top layer of foil. Brush the ribs generously with barbecue sauce.

  4. 6

    Broil the Ribs

Increase the oven temperature to broil. Place the ribs back in the oven, uncovered, and broil for about 5-10 minutes, until the barbecue sauce is caramelized and bubbly.
