Method

Preparation of Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

  2. 2

    Brew Tea

Once the water reaches a boil, remove it from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Let it steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags from the pot and discard them.

Sweetening the Tea

  1. 4

    Add Sweetener (Optional)

If you like your iced tea sweet, add 1 cup of granulated sugar or 0.5 cups of honey while the tea is still warm. Stir until fully dissolved.

Flavoring the Tea

  1. 5

    Add Lemon Juice

Stir in 0.5 cups of fresh lemon juice to the brewed tea for a refreshing citrus flavor.

  2. 6

    Add Mint Leaves

Add 10 fresh mint leaves to the tea and stir gently to combine.

Cooling and Serving

  1. 7

    Cool the Tea

Allow the tea to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then refrigerate until chilled.

  2. 8

    Serve

Pour the chilled iced tea into glasses filled with ice. Garnish each glass with lemon slices and extra mint leaves.
