Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the crust

In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated.

  2. 2

    Form the crust

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer. Use the back of a measuring cup to compact it.

  3. 3

    Pre-bake the crust

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove it from the oven and let it cool while preparing the filling.

Filling Preparation

  1. 4

    Beat the cream cheese

In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the softened cream cheese on medium speed until smooth and creamy.

  2. 5

    Add sugar and mix

Gradually add the granulated sugar and continue to beat until fully combined and fluffy.

  3. 6

    Incorporate sour cream and vanilla

Add the sour cream and vanilla extract to the mixture, beating until smooth.

  4. 7

    Add eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just blended.

  5. 8

    Add flour

Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and gently fold it in using a spatula until just combined.

  6. 9

    Pour into crust

Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.

  7. 10

    Bake the cheesecake

Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.

  8. 11

    Cool down

Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour to cool gradually. Then remove it from the oven and let it cool to room temperature.

  9. 12

    Chill in the refrigerator

Cover the cheesecake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Topping Preparation

  1. 13

    Prepare topping (optional)

If desired, prepare fresh strawberries and drizzle with strawberry sauce before serving.
