Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your grill or smoker to 225°F (107°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the pork ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Ribs

In a bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Rub the olive oil over the ribs, then apply the seasoning mix generously on both sides.

  3. 3

    Prepare the BBQ Sauce

In a separate bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar. Mix well until the sugar is dissolved.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Cook the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs on the grill or smoker, bone side down. Cook for 3 hours, maintaining a consistent temperature, and spritz with apple cider vinegar every hour.

  2. 5

    Apply the BBQ Sauce

After 3 hours, brush the ribs generously with the prepared BBQ sauce. Continue to cook for an additional hour, basting with more sauce every 15 minutes.

Sides Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Corn

While the ribs are cooking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the corn and cook for 8-10 minutes until tender.

  2. 7

    Serve the Coleslaw

Toss the coleslaw with your choice of dressing and refrigerate until serving.

  3. 8

    Heat the Baked Beans

Heat the baked beans in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through, about 5-7 minutes.

Serving

  1. 9

    Serve the Dish

Once the ribs are tender and caramelized, remove them from the grill. Let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with corn on the cob, coleslaw, and baked beans on the side.
