Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Coffee
Brew a strong cup of coffee (about 240 ml) and allow it to cool slightly. If desired, stir in the coffee liqueur for added flavor.
- 2
Whip the Cream
In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the granulated sugar and continue whipping until stiff peaks form.
- 3
Mix the Mascarpone
In another bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.
Assembly
- 4
Soak the Ladyfingers
Dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee for about 1-2 seconds, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.
- 5
Layer the Ingredients
In a rectangular dish, place a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
- 6
Repeat the Layers
Repeat the soaking and layering process with another layer of ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- 7
Chill the Tiramisu
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
