    Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and sprinkle with salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 15-20 minutes until the onions are golden brown and caramelized.

    In a bowl, soften the cream cheese at room temperature. Once soft, mix in black pepper to taste.
