Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess fat.

Prepare the Burger Patties
In a bowl, mix ground beef with a pinch of salt and pepper. Form into two equal patties.

Cook the Burger Patties
In the same skillet, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked to your desired doneness.

Add Cheese and Maple Syrup
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each patty and drizzle with maple syrup. Cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

Assemble the Burgers
On the bottom half of each hamburger bun, layer the burger patty with melted cheese, add crispy bacon, and top with creamy ranch slaw (recipe below). Add the top half of the bun.
