Main Ingredients

Method

Pesto Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Pesto Sauce

In a food processor, combine the fresh basil leaves, garlic cloves, pine nuts, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until finely chopped.

  2. 2

    Add Oil and Cheese

While the food processor is running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the mixture is smooth. Then, add the grated Parmesan cheese and pulse again until fully incorporated. Set the pesto aside.

Cooking Salmon and Pasta

  1. 3

    Cook the Angel Hair Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the angel hair pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 4-5 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  2. 4

    Grill the Salmon

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Season the salmon fillets with salt and black pepper. Grill the salmon for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  3. 5

    Combine Pasta and Pesto

In a large bowl, toss the cooked angel hair pasta with the prepared pesto sauce until evenly coated.

  4. 6

    Serve

Plate the pesto-coated pasta, top with grilled salmon fillets, and garnish with diced tomatoes. Serve immediately.
