Method

Prepare Crostini

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 2

    Slice Baguette

Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices.

  3. 3

    Brush with Olive Oil

Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil.

  4. 4

    Bake Crostini

Bake in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

Make Goat Cheese Mixture

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine goat cheese, heavy cream, fresh thyme, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 6

    Whip Mixture

Using a fork or electric mixer, whip the mixture until smooth and creamy.

Caramelize Onions

  1. 7

    Heat Olive Oil

In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.

  2. 8

    Add Onions

Slice the onions and add them to the skillet. Sauté for about 5 minutes until they start to soften.

  3. 9

    Caramelize Onions

Reduce the heat to low and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, for about 20-25 minutes, until the onions are deep golden brown.

  4. 10

    Add Balsamic and Salt

Add balsamic vinegar and salt to the onions, stirring to combine, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Assemble Crostini

  1. 11

    Spread Goat Cheese

Spread a generous amount of the goat cheese mixture on each toasted crostini.

  2. 12

    Top with Onions

Top each crostini with a spoonful of caramelized onions.

  3. 13

    Add Pine Nuts

Sprinkle toasted pine nuts over the onions.

  4. 14

    Garnish with Parsley

Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley for garnish.
