Method

Buttermilk Biscuits

  1. 1

    Prepare the Biscuit Dough

Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the buttermilk until just combined.

  2. 2

    Bake the Biscuits

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently until it comes together. Pat it into a 1-inch thick disk and use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits. Place them on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.

Crispy Chicken

  1. 3

    Prepare the Chicken

Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika. Dredge in flour, dip in a mixture of beaten egg and milk, then coat in bread crumbs.

  2. 4

    Fry the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken breasts for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.

Breakfast Potatoes

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Dice the potatoes into small cubes. In a bowl, toss them with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

  2. 6

    Cook the Potatoes

In a skillet, cook the potatoes over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until they are crispy and tender, about 15-20 minutes.

Sausage Gravy

  1. 7

    Cook the Sausage

In a saucepan over medium heat, crumble and cook the breakfast sausage until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 8

    Make the Gravy

Sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage and stir well. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.

Eggs

  1. 9

    Cook the Eggs

In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Crack in the eggs and season with salt. Cook to your preference (sunny-side up, over-easy, etc.).
