1. Prepare the Wine Base
In a medium saucepan, combine the Cabernet Sauvignon wine, sugar, and water. Heat over medium heat until the sugar is fully dissolved, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and allow it to cool to room temperature.
2. Juice the Lemons
Juice the two fresh lemons and strain the juice to remove any seeds. Set aside the lemon juice for later use.
3. Prepare the Blackberries
Rinse the blackberries under cold water. In a large mixing bowl, mash half of the blackberries with a fork to release their juices. Reserve the other half for garnish.
4. Combine Ingredients
Once the wine base has cooled, add the lemon juice and the mashed blackberries to the saucepan. Stir well to combine all the flavors.
5. Add Mint
Chop the mint leaves roughly and add them to the mixture. Stir gently to incorporate.
6. Chill
Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
Serving
7. Serve the Drink
Once chilled, pour the Lady Cabernet Sauvignon into wine glasses or cocktail glasses, straining out the solids if desired.
8. Garnish
Garnish each drink with a few whole blackberries and a sprig of mint before serving.
