Prepare the Batter

Whisk the Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, whisk together 2 large eggs, 1 cup of heavy cream, 1 tsp of vanilla extract, 2 tbs of granulated sugar, and a pinch of salt until well combined and slightly frothy.
Prepare the French Toast

Dip the Bread
Take each slice of challah bread and dip it into the batter, ensuring both sides are coated well. Allow any excess batter to drip off.

Heat the Pan
In a large skillet or griddle, melt 2 tbs of butter over medium heat until bubbly and slightly browned.

Cook the French Toast
Place the dipped challah slices onto the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
Serve

Plate and Drizzle
Once cooked, remove the French toast from the skillet and serve immediately. Drizzle with maple syrup to taste.
