Main Ingredients

Optional Toppings

Method

Preparation of Au Jus

  1. 1

    Sauté the Onions

In a medium saucepan, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.

  2. 2

    Add Garlic

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.

  3. 3

    Combine with Broth

Pour in the beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and salt. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Assembling the Sandwich

  1. 4

    Warm the Roast Beef

In a separate skillet, gently warm the sliced roast beef over low heat until heated through. This should take about 5 minutes.

  2. 5

    Prepare the Rolls

While the beef is warming, slice the Denver crunch rolls in half horizontally. If desired, you may lightly toast the insides on a skillet or grill.

  3. 6

    Build the Sandwich

Layer the warm roast beef onto the bottom half of each roll. If using, top with a slice of provolone cheese.

  4. 7

    Finish the Sandwich

Close the sandwich with the top half of the roll. Optionally, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley for added flavor.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve with Au Jus

Cut the sandwiches in half and serve warm with a small bowl of the prepared au jus for dipping.
