Method

Turkey Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Rinse the turkey inside and out and pat dry. Rub the turkey with olive oil, salt, pepper, rosemary, thyme, and garlic. Place the turkey on a roasting rack in a large roasting pan.

  2. 2

    Roast the Turkey

Roast the turkey in the preheated oven for about 13-15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste occasionally with drippings.

Stuffing Preparation

  1. 3

    Cook the Sausage

In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned. Add onion, celery, and garlic. Cook until vegetables are soft.

  2. 4

    Combine Stuffing Ingredients

In a large bowl, mix the cooked sausage mixture with chicken broth, bread cubes, parsley, salt, pepper, and sage. Stir well.

  3. 5

    Stuff the Turkey

Stuff the turkey cavity with the sausage stuffing mixture before roasting.

Cranberry Sauce Preparation

  1. 6

    Cook the Cranberries

In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, orange juice, and orange zest. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 10-15 minutes until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.

Gravy Preparation

  1. 7

    Make the Gravy

In a saucepan, whisk together turkey drippings and flour over medium heat. Cook for 1-2 minutes. Gradually add chicken broth, whisking until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
