Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Mix the Crust Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, melted unsalted butter, and salt. Stir until well combined.

  3. 3

    Form the Crust

Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer. Make sure to press it up the sides slightly for added structure.

  4. 4

    Bake the Crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool while preparing the filling.

Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Cream Cheese

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 3-4 minutes.

  2. 6

    Add Sugar and Sour Cream

Gradually add the granulated sugar and continue to beat until fully combined. Add the sour cream and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.

  3. 7

    Incorporate the Eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just combined. Do not overmix.

  4. 8

    Add Flour

Sift in the all-purpose flour and gently fold it into the mixture until well combined.

  5. 9

    Pour the Filling

Pour the cheesecake filling into the cooled crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.

  6. 10

    Bake the Cheesecake

Bake the cheesecake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.

  7. 11

    Cool and Chill

Turn off the oven and crack the door open, letting the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour. Remove from the oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
