Blue Cheese Dressing
Method
Preparing the Wings
- 1
Step 1: Prepare the Chicken Wings
In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Toss well to coat the wings evenly.
- 2
Step 2: Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or a large heavy-bottomed pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 375°F (190°C).
- 3
Step 3: Fry the Wings
Carefully add the chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the wings to a paper towel-lined plate.
- 4
Step 4: Prepare the Sauce
In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, stir in the hot sauce until well combined. Remove from heat.
- 5
Step 5: Toss the Wings
Place the fried wings in a large mixing bowl and pour the hot sauce mixture over them. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.

- 6
Step 1: Combine Dressing Ingredients
In a medium bowl, mix together the crumbled blue cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
- 7
Step 2: Adjust Seasoning
Taste the dressing and adjust seasoning with more salt or black pepper if necessary. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
