Margarita Preparation

Prepare the Glass
If you want a salted rim, take a lime wedge and rub it around the rim of a chilled margarita glass. Dip the rim in salt to coat it evenly. Set aside.

Mix the Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice.

Shake
Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until the mixture is well chilled.

Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into the prepared margarita glass filled with fresh ice, if desired.

Garnish
Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately.
