Nashville Chicken Sliders
Method
Preparation
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine buttermilk, hot sauce, and a pinch of salt. Add the chicken thighs, covering them completely. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.
- 2
Prepare the Coating
In another bowl, mix together the flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Fry the Chicken
Heat the vegetable oil in a large, deep skillet or Dutch oven to 350°F (175°C). Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess buttermilk to drip off, then dredge each piece in the flour mixture. Fry the chicken in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove and let drain on paper towels.
- 4
Assemble the Sliders
On each brioche bun, place a piece of fried chicken, a slice of American cheese, and a few pickle slices. Drizzle with Nashville hot chicken oil for added heat.
- 5
Serve
Serve the sliders warm and enjoy!
