Fried Chicken Sandwich Ingredients

Method

Instructions

  1. 1

    Brine the Chicken

In a large bowl, mix together the buttermilk and hot sauce. Add the chicken thighs, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Flour Mixture

In another bowl, combine the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.

  3. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain.

  4. 4

    Fry the Chicken

Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C). Remove the chicken from the buttermilk brine, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture until fully coated. Fry the chicken in batches for 6-8 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and place on a wire rack to drain excess oil.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sandwich

On the bottom half of each burger bun, spread a generous layer of pimento cheese. Place the fried chicken on top, followed by a slice of bacon and jalapeño slices. Drizzle honey mustard on the top bun and close the sandwich.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious fried chicken sandwich!
