Prepare the Glass
Fill an old fashioned glass with ice cubes to chill it while preparing the cocktail.

Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing glass, combine the bourbon, Alaskan birch syrup, Angostura bitters, and a sprig of fresh rosemary. Add ice and stir gently until well chilled.

Strain and Garnish
Remove the ice from the old fashioned glass. Strain the mixed cocktail into the glass. Garnish with the maraschino cherry and a twist of orange peel, expressing the oils over the drink.
